Job summary

Coterie Senior Living - Cathedral Hill in San Francisco seeks a Driver to deliver five-star transportation at this luxury community. You will ensure safety, assist residents, and coordinate vehicle maintenance.

Must have a GED or high school diploma, CDL, and be fully vaccinated. The role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
• Must be fully vaccinated and provide vaccination record card at time of hire.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Ability to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus, unless otherwise required by Coterie or state law.
• Ability to operate a limousine or car, tire changing equipment, First Aid Kit, wheelchair lift, and dollies/hand trucks.
• Experience with vehicle emergency repairs, ability to change automobile tires and handle minor on-road maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Coterie’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive five-star transportation services for residents and guests.
• Transport residents to social and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles safely and respectfully.
• Secure wheelchairs and use restraints when needed.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicles and report maintenance as needed.
• Maintain daily/weekly vehicle inspection and maintenance records.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to residents’ apartments.
• Support Resident Engagement activities as needed.
• Submit travel charges to the business office daily.
• Maintain a safe driving record per company guidelines.
• Handle emergencies and provide basic First Aid.
• Escalate issues to management as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

The Driver delivers five-star transportation services at this luxury community. This individual is responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation service and serves as support staff for the Resident Engagement Director. This individual coordinates vehicle pre-maintenance, maintenance, and repairs to ensure vehicle longevity and guarantees that the community vehicles are always meticulously kept.

• Handle all resident and guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
• Drive vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to assigned schedule.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicle(s) in a safe and respectful manner.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs.
• Establish and monitor daily and weekly trip inspection and preventative maintenance programs, as well as maintain records regarding the maintenance of all vehicles.
• Deliver groceries and other belongings to resident’s apartments.
• Assist the Resident Engagement Department in activities and programs as needed.
• Ensure charges are submitted to the business office daily for community travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Handle emergency situations and basic First Aid.
• Report potentially unsafe conditions to the General Manager and/or Concierge Director.
• Escalate issues to management or other team members as required.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $23.00/hr - $27.60/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
