Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. through its Coterie luxury brand seeks a Driver to deliver five‑star transportation and resident support at the San Francisco community.

You will manage vehicle pre‑maintenance, operate vehicles safely, assist residents in and out of the vehicle, and ensure daily travel records are accurate. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years driving experience, a CDL, and full vaccination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance.
• Must be fully vaccinated and provide vaccination record card at time of hire.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate passenger bus and related equipment; ensure safety of residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation service for residents and guests.
• Drive community vehicle according to assigned schedule; assist residents in/out of vehicle.
• Secure wheelchairs and assist residents with mobility and safety.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report repair needs.
• Maintain daily trip records and ensure compliance with safety policies.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.

• Ability to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus, unless otherwise required by Coterie or state law.
• Ability to operate a limousine or car, tire changing equipment, First Aid Kit, wheelchair lift, and dollies/hand trucks.
• Experience with vehicle emergency repairs, ability to change automobile tires and handle minor on-road maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Coterie’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.

The Driver delivers five-star transportation services at this luxury community. This individual is responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation service and serves as support staff for the Resident Engagement Director. This individual coordinates vehicle pre-maintenance, maintenance, and repairs to ensure vehicle longevity and guarantees that the community vehicles are always meticulously kept.

• Handle all resident and guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
• Drive vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to assigned schedule.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicle(s) in a safe and respectful manner.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs.
• Establish and monitor daily and weekly trip inspection and preventative maintenance programs, as well as maintain records regarding the maintenance of all vehicles.
• Deliver groceries and other belongings to resident’s apartments.
• Assist the Resident Engagement Department in activities and programs as needed.
• Ensure charges are submitted to the business office daily for community travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Handle emergency situations and basic First Aid.
• Report potentially unsafe conditions to the General Manager and/or Concierge Director.
• Escalate issues to management or other team members as required.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
