Job summary

ITS in San Diego/Otay Mesa is seeking an experienced Local Class A Driver for yard spotting, shuttle runs, and local freight deliveries. You will enjoy home-daily schedules and consistent hours in a team-friendly environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9-hour shifts with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. Responsibilities include drop & hook, yard spotting, DVIRs, yard inventory, and P&D within San Diego County.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of verifiable driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse verification must be passed.
• Must comply with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform drop & hook of loaded/empty trailers between local warehouses.
• Yard spotting and maneuvering trailers in Otay Mesa facility.
• Shuttle trailers to/from designated maintenance shops.
• Conduct daily DVIRs (pre-trip & post-trip inspections).
• Local P&D freight hauls within San Diego County.
• Manage yard inventory and sweep empty trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform drop & hook of loaded/empty semi-trailers between local warehouses.

Yard spotting – Organize and maneuver trailers in our Otay Mesa facility.

Shuttle trailers to/from designated maintenance shops.

Perform daily DVIRs (pre-trip & post-trip inspections) on all units.

Conduct yard inventory checks and sweep empty trailers.

Local P&D (Pickup & Delivery) freight hauls within San Diego County.

Must-Have Requirements:

Valid Class A CDL (No automatic restrictions? Let us know!).

Clean MVR (Must provide DMV printout).

Minimum 3+ years of verifiable driving experience.

Must pass FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse verification.

Full compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) – 11/14 rule.
