Job summary

Jimmy John's in Saint Paul, MN is seeking part-time Delivery Drivers for evening shifts (6pm to close) Monday–Friday and weekends. Starting pay is $15.00–$16.25 per hour plus mileage reimbursement and a 50-cent shift differential for closing shifts.

A free sandwich is also included as part of the job perks. Primary duties include delivering sandwiches in the designated area, checking orders for accuracy, and delivering in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English well enough to interact with customers and colleagues.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have at least two years of driving experience in the United States.
• Must possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license from the home state.
• Must have no more than two moving violations in 24 months and no more than one at-fault accident.
• Must maintain liability insurance as required by the home state.
• Must use a vehicle that meets home state safety, registration and license plate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Takes phone orders and completes delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner.
• Delivers sandwich orders to customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner in the designated delivery area.
• Accepts payment from customers for orders.
• Reconciles cash from delivery sales with management at end of shift.
• Makes fast, accurate and consistent sandwiches.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including tables, floors, windows, beverage station, restroom, etc.
• Greets customers and takes orders, operates cash register, collects payment, and makes change.
• Follows systems and procedures with accuracy and integrity.
• Maintains professional appearance per Jimmy John’s Dress Code.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Summary: We are looking for drivers to work evenings (6pm to store closing) Mondays through Fridays and Weekends (afternoon/closings). Starting at $15-16.25/hr, Plus Shift Differential, and drivers reimbursement (and a free sandwich!!)

Delivery Drivers’ primary responsibility is to deliver sandwiches to customers in the designated delivery area. Drivers are expected to check all products for accuracy against quality standards and deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner. Drivers will also work as an in-shop when no deliveries are scheduled.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Takes phone orders and completes delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner.
• Delivers sandwich orders to customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner in established delivery area only.
• Accepts payment from customers for orders.
• Works with management at the end of the shift to reconcile cash from delivery sales.
• Makes fast, accurate and consistent sandwiches.
• Complies with all portion sizes, recipes, and all systems and procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including all tables, floors, windows, beverage station, restroom, etc.
• Greets customers and takes orders – operates cash register – collects payment from customer and makes change.
• Fills out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity.
• Maintains professional appearance at all times in compliance with the Jimmy John’s Dress Code.
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to speak, read and write the English language well enough to effectively interact with customers, fellow employees and supervisors as needed.
• Must be able to meet the requirements of the position related to bending, standing and walking as required at any time during the workday.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have had at least two years of driving experience in the United States.
• Must currently possess a valid unrestricted drivers’ license from the driver’s home state.
• Must have had no more than two moving violations in 24 months and no more than one “at fault” accident.
• Must maintain in full force and effect at all times liability insurance in an amount not less than the financial responsibility requirements of the driver’s home state.
• Must use for deliveries a vehicle that meets the driver’s home state’s requirements regarding safety, registration and license plates/tags..
