Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Washington (Ridgefield). This full-time role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. You'll drive regional routes, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure safe, accurate deliveries to our customers.

Starting pay ranges from $75,000 to $115,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 depending on experience. Benefits begin Day 1, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) participate after probation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating.
• Ability to read/write basic English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following DOT rules.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
