Job summary

Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor in North Wales, PA, is seeking a Driver to safely transport supplies and packages and support the Shipping/Receiving team.

You will load and unload, deliver locally and out of town, retrieve mail from the PO Box daily, and move materials between buildings. Forklift certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Forklift certified.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Commercial driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport supplies and packages.

As an innovative company offering a wide array of products, we strive to continuously develop new technology and drive process improvement.**Position Summary**The Driver is an integral position to our company that requires a high sense of urgency. The Driver is responsible for local and out of town deliveries to internal and external parties. Their duties include loading, unloading, and transporting important items. In addition to their transportation responsibilities, The Driver may also be required to support the Shipping/ Receiving team at the direction of the Shipping Manager. **Role & Responsibilities*** Safely transport supplies and packages.* Support the shipping team with web/dealer orders as needed.* Retrieve mail and packages from the PO Box daily.* Transport coffee and lunches daily to their respective locations.* Transport materials between buildings as needed.## Qualifications**Qualifications and Requirements*** Able to work independently or on a team.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Forklift certified.* High school diploma or equivalent.* Basic math skills.* Have a valid driver’s license.Commercial driving experience is preferred**Physical and Work Environment Requirements:**This position is based in a manufacturing environment and may require the following over extended periods of time up to a full 8-hour work shift (excluding lunch and breaks): stand, walk, sit, squat or bend, kneel and rise, lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to — and occasionally exceeding — 50 pounds, view a computer or other digital screen, work on a computer, workstation or comparable system, and make accurate entries in such systems. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills are required for detailed assembly and precision work. Work may take place in areas with varying temperatures or no climate control, varying noise levels, and production equipment in motion. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas at all times as required by company policy.
