Job summary

Land N Sea Distributing, Inc. seeks an experienced Route Driver to join the CT team. The route covers Northwest Long Island and surrounding areas, with an excellent starting wage and benefits package including 401k with company match and profit sharing.

Responsibilities include loading and securing cargo, maintaining a route schedule, delivering goods with proper documentation, and providing strong customer service. OSHA Hazmat certification is encouraged; CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with delivery experience.
• Medical examiner's certificate and ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to become OSHA certified in Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.
• Accurately handle CODs and delivery manifests.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Route Driver to join our CT team! The route covers Northwest Long Island, and the surrounding areas.

Essential Functions

• Ability to load, secure and unload product safely, and maintain a route schedule
• Receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service
• Demonstrated communication and customer service skills
• Accurate handling of CODs, delivery manifests
• Vehicle inspection, both pre- and post-delivery, compliance with all federal and state regulations
• Excellent attendance and reliability are critical
• With minimal supervision, demonstrated ability to solve practical problems
• Hazmat training a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $25.00. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
