Job summary

Land 'N' Sea Distributing seeks an experienced Driver to join the Old Lyme CT team, covering Old Lyme and surrounding areas with multi-stop routes. The role requires a strong work ethic, reliable transportation, and ability to learn multiple routes with varying start times.

Excellent starting wage and benefits, including 401k with company match and profit sharing. OSHA Hazmat certification and a valid medical certificate are required; CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience.
• Medical examiner's certificate and the ability to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record within company policy limits
• Must be able to become certified through OSHA in the following areas: Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness
• CDL preferred but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Must be comfortable driving a truck and be able to navigate successfully in minimal access areas.
• Responsible for learning multiple delivery routes with varying start times, so flexibility is required to cover unexpected changes
• Ability to load, secure and unload product safely, and maintain a route schedule.
• Receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service
• Professional appearance, with excellent communication and customer service skills
• Accurate inspection handling of CODs, delivery manifests
• Vehicle inspection, both pre- and post-delivery, compliance with all federal and state regulations
• Excellent attendance and reliability are critical
• With minimal supervision, demonstrated ability to have and ma

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $25.00. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
