Urban Dove Team Charter School in New York is seeking an Operations Assistant/Driver to transport students on a 20/30 passenger bus, supervise on-site, and assist the administrative team to maintain seamless operations.

The ideal candidate holds a valid CDL, can multitask effectively, stay calm under pressure, and works well with youth. You will uphold safety, keep vehicles clean, and contribute to logistics and events in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to school and events on schedule.
• Ensure passenger safety and vehicle cleanliness.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain records.
• Create a welcoming environment for students, families, staff and visitors.
• Supervise student and visitor movements and ensure safety rules are followed.
• Maintain organized school environment and clear UD signage.
• Supervise students during meals, meetings, and events.
• Support logistics such as material pick-up/drop-off and copying.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The UD Team is looking for a diligent Operations Assistant/Driver. This role involves transporting students to school activities using a 20/30 passenger bus, supervising students on-site, and aiding the administrative team to maintain seamless operations.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

Urban Dove Team Charter School (UD Team) is a distinctive network of sports-based high schools catering to over-aged, under-credited youth. We fuse a robust academic curriculum with sports-based youth development, ensuring our graduates receive a diploma, a stepping stone for higher education, and essential job skills.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transport students to school and events, following a set schedule and ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Prioritize passenger safety and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain records, and address any maintenance needs.
• Create a welcoming environment for students, families, staff, and visitors.
• Oversee student and visitor movements within the school, ensuring adherence to safety rules.
• Maintain a tidy and organized school environment, ensuring consistent and clear signage that upholds the UD brand.
• Supervise students during meals, meetings, and special events.
• Support logistical tasks, such as material pick-up/drop-off, unpacking, and copying.
• Perform additional tasks as needed, aligning with skills and interests.

Requirements

Compensation:

$41,600 to $45,760 annually based on years of experience and education.
