Job summary

SPORTIME CLUBS, LLC on Randall's Island seeks a full-time driver to provide transportation for members to and from the facility. You must maintain a professional demeanor, ensure student seat belts, and follow safety and COVID guidelines. You will inspect vehicles, comply with traffic laws, and report incidents promptly.

A valid license and 18+ months driving exp are required. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle condition, logging EZ Pass usage, and supporting safe, comfortable

• Valid current driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Minimum of 18 months driving experience.
• Knowledge of driving vehicles in NYC.
• Ability to operate vehicles with multiple passengers of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide a first class transportation experience for our members to and from our facility.
• Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Ensure students are secured in their seat belts prior to departure.
• Follow safety rules during boarding/exiting and any COVID guidelines.
• Check vehicle tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, gas and oil for safe operation.
• Comply with traffic regulations to operate safely.
• Control air, heating, lighting, and radio for passenger comfort.
• Report accidents, delays, or unusual circumstances to management promptly.
• Maintain a clean van (interior and exterior).
• Turn in receipts for gas purchases and maintain EZ Pass log.
• Report driver infractions promptly.

Since 1994, SPORTIME has been proud to operate the finest tennis and sports facilities in New York State. SPORTIME's 20 club locations most recently expanded to include the iconic Port Washington Tennis Academy, now SPORTIME Port Washington. SPORTIME currently offers 192 indoor and outdoor tennis courts and 131 pickleball courts, as well as rinks, turf, camps, gyms and more, at sites across Long Island, in NYC, in Westchester and in the NY Capital Region. SPORTIME clubs are state-of-the-art, yet affordable, and feature the best tennis, pickleball, sports and camp facilities and programs, including the John McEnroe Tennis Academy (JMTA) and SPORTIME Volleyball Club (VBC). RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide a first class transportation experience for our members to and from our facility
• To act in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Make sure that students are secured in their seat belts prior to the trip departure
• Follow safety rules as students are boarding and exiting buses including any applicable COVID guidelines
• Check the conditions of the vehicles tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, gas, and oil to ensure that everything is in working order
• Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate the vehicle in a safe manner
• Regulate, air, heating, lighting, and radio controls for passenger comfort
• Reporting of all accidents, delays, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate management personnel in a timely manner
• Maintenance of a clean van (Interior and Exterior)
• Turn in and initial receipts for all gas purchases
• Maintain a log for EZ Pass utilization.
• Immediately reporting of all driver infractions on or off the job.

• The position requires the employee to be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude
• The position requires the employee to lead by example, delegate, communicate, train, follow up and deliver feedback to respective team employees.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Valid current Driver’s license with clean driving record
• Minimum of 18 months driving experience
• Knowledge of driving vehicles in NYC
• Ability to operate vehicles with multiple passengers of all ages
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify problems, create solutions and apply solutions
• Ability to use independent judgement and decision making
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs
• Developing constructive and cooperative work relationships with others and maintaining them over time

SCHEDULE

Full-time, Monday - Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm

SALARY

$20.00 per hour

• Health, dental and vision insurance -Full-Time employees are eligible to enroll in Sportime's group health, dental and vision insurance plans on the first day of the month after they have worked 60 days. Premiums are deducted pre-tax from employees’ gross pay; Sportime contributes to the premiums of employees based upon gross pay thresholds.
• 401k with Employer Match -SPORTIME EMPLOYEES are eligible to enroll in our SPORTIME Retirement plan after they have completed 1 year of service consecutively, worked at least 1000 hours in a calendar or anniversary year and are over 21 years old.
