Kings Bay YM-YWHA/JCC Brooklyn, a non-profit organization located in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, is looking for a full-time Driver to join our team. We are particularly interested in individuals who speak Russian and have experience transporting senior citizens and children, but this is not a requirement. Our Bus Drivers are an essential part of our organization, and we value their contributions. This job is ideal for someone who is dependable, enjoys interacting with children, and is a safe driver.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Transport senior members of our programs.
• Transport children from school to our after-school program site.
• Transport KBY members from the leading site to other off-site events.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
• Obey all traffic laws
• Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
• Ensure the safety of all passengers.
• Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required
• Communicates regularly with other staff members and supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Must speak Russian
• CDL Driver's License Required
• Ability to safely drive a 16-passenger ambulette vehicle.
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to carry out assigned routes on time
• CandidatesMUST have a CDL Drivers license and be prepared to complete appropriate background checks and other child protection requirements.
