PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES :

• Must be able to operate a Truck Tractor in a safe manner
• Perform backing and turning of combination vehicle in tight working areas.
• Maintain required trip logs, records, and manifest.
• Complete all needed paperwork on a timely and accurate basis.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and cleanliness.
• Make minor repairs to truck tractors and trailers.
• Assist in loading and unloading as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as required.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

• Must possess a Class A CDL.
• Must be able to read and write English and comprehend at High School level.
• Familiar with DOT regulations concerning equipment safety.
• Must be able to work with little to no supervision.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Minimum 2years experience as a Commercial Truck Driver or completed Truck Driving School and one year of driving experience.
• Must be able to pass FMCSA DOT physical and Drug screen.
• Must be able to work required hours to complete all necessary tasks.
• Need good hand-eye coordination with a high level of dexterity.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders (up to approx. 20 feet)

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS :

• Must work in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: Heat, cold, dust, wetness, and dryness.
• Exposure to solvents, oil, grease, oil absorb, etc.
