Job summary

Fellowship Square Christian Care is seeking a reliable Driver to transport senior residents to medical appointments, outings, and activities in Mesa, AZ. You will help set up activities, maintain the vehicle, and ensure safety and comfort for residents throughout each journey.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends/evenings as needed. Prior experience with seniors is a plus, with a welcoming, patient demeanor and fluency in English

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license with P endorsement (or ability to obtain before employment).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reading, writing and speaking English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and events.
• Keep vehicle clean, well-maintained, and ready for use.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Maintain transportation schedules and records of destinations and special needs.
• Assist with setting up and preparing for resident activities and events.
• Coordinate transportation needs with team members and adjust schedules as required.
• Follow safety and traffic regulations to ensure safe journeys.
• Provide excellent customer service and foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Driver

We are currently seeking a reliable and friendly Driver to join our team and assist in providing excellent transportation services to our senior residents.

As a Driver you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to medical appointments, outings, and other scheduled activities. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents while fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere. In addition to transportation, you will assist with setting up for activities, ensuring our residents enjoy a full range of experiences.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other scheduled events.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and ready for use at all times.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, destinations, and any special needs.
• Assist with setting up and preparing for resident activities and events.
• Communicate with team members to coordinate transportation needs and schedule adjustments.
• Follow all safety and traffic regulations to ensure a smooth and secure journey.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff, providing excellent customer service.
• Valid Commercial Arizona Driver’s License with "P" endorsement (or ability to obtain prior to employment) and a clean driving record.
• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience driving larger vehicles (e.g., passenger vans or buses) is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working with seniors is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, patient demeanor.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with seniors.
• Ability to lift and assist residents as needed, with the support of other team members.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends and evenings when needed.
