Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Lowell, MA is seeking a Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) to serve customers with safe, timely deliveries and accurate paperwork. You will perform pre- and post-trip checks, manage freight, and maintain quality service on every stop.

The role requires a Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement (or obtained within 60 days), 21+ years old, and the ability to lift 75 pounds. Competitive pay with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; basic English literacy.
• Two years driving experience or Truck Driving School cert; valid Class B CDL.

• Hazmat endorsement or obtain within 60 days of hire.
• No major accidents/violations in past 2 years; no alcohol convictions in last 10 years.
• Able to pass DOT physical and lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers, averaging 10–12 stops per day, handling freight and paperwork.
• Record quantities and styles of delivered and picked up items; provide strong customer service.
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers per DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; identify maintenance needs.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
• Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
• You are expected to complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• You will build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
• You will continuously build your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing

What Makes You Great

• You have a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English
• You will have two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class B CDL
• This role requires you to be 21 years or older
• You currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
• You are expected to not have any preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• You have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required
