Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. transports residents to appointments and activities within a secure facility, following standard operating procedures. You will drive residents in a company van and ensure safety, supervising activities during transport and completing headcounts with timely reports.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and an excellent driving record. Computer skills are needed to work with department software and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year professional driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license from state in which the duties are performed.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents by Company van from facility to outside appointments.
• Maintains the safety and security of residents at all times while transporting them.
• Oversees all resident activities while boarding vehicle, transporting them to destinations and departing the vehicle.
• Performs scheduled resident headcounts and completes written count reports in a thorough and timely manner.
• Reports resident accidents or injuries to supervisor.
• Reports all resident behavioral problems in writing to supervisor.
• Enforces the rules of conduct with the residents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
