Job summary

Patterson Dental Supply, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver to perform efficient, safe driving and deliver packages to customers on a scheduled route. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and securing shipments, while maintaining a high level of customer service and timely deliveries.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean MVR, and the ability to read maps. Team collaboration and adherence to safety policies are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver/pick up shipments on scheduled route and meet service objectives.
• Serve as point of contact for customer service and resolve complaints.
• Load and unload assigned vehicle and ensure loads are secure.
• Operate warehouse equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Follow local, state and federal motor carrier laws and submit compliance reports.
• Assist fulfillment center in daily operations when not delivering packages.

Job Summary

Perform effective, safe and efficient driving duties. Deliver packages to customers on scheduled route while meeting service and performance objectives.

Essential Functions

• To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Transact all business in accordance to Patterson Companies’ business code of conduct and business ethics.
• Drive assigned vehicle and deliver/pick up shipments.
• Point of contact for customer service and help resolve customer complaints.
• Load and unload assigned vehicle.
• Ensure all loads are properly secure for transport.
• Operate all warehouse equipment/machinery.
• Achieve assigned performance metrics and KPIs.
• Help maintain a secure, organized, clean, and safe warehouse and vehicle.
• Handle all hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs according to the Company’s processes/procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
• Assure routine maintenance is performed on assigned vehicle per schedule and vehicle is always in a good and safe condition.
• Follow all local, state and federal motor carrier laws.
• Submit all required daily, weekly and monthly compliance reports.
• Assist fulfillment center in daily operations when not delivering packages.

Additional functions

In addition to the essential functions listed below, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions. Perform all work in accordance with Company Safety guidelines and procedures including all required Safety and Compliance Training and regulatory licensing. Maintain acceptable driving record and current driver’s license. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Non-CDL, Non-Hazmat, driving vehicles or combination vehicles up to 26k GVWR.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Obtain a satisfactory MVR review.
• Ability to drive assigned vehicle.
• Knowledge of delivery area and ability to read maps.
• Able to work as an effective team member.
• Basic problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Effective time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• One-year experience as a delivery driver preferred.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry up to 55 pounds, team lift 56 to 100 pounds: continuous, moderate or occasional heavy physical activity.
• Moving 50% of the time.
• Stationary position 50% of the time.
• Move loads on pallet jack (w/pallets/totes/barrels) weighing up to 2,500 lbs.
• Load and unload vehicle.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $22.60 - $29.33
