Job summary

Brunswick Corporation in Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced Driver to join the team. This role requires multi-stop deliveries with a focus on safety, documentation, and customer service. Excellent wage and benefits are provided.

Starting pay is competitive with full benefits including a 401(k) match. CDL is preferred but not required; Hazmat training is a plus. OSHA certifications and a valid medical exam are expected. Join a leader delivering marine recreation experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience.
• Medical examiner’s certificate and ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Must become certified through OSHA in Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure and unload product safely and maintain a route schedule.
• Receive and provide documentation for delivery to ensure timely service.
• Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.
• Accurately handle CODs and delivery manifests.
• Perform pre- and post-delivery vehicle inspections and comply with regulations.
• Maintain excellent attendance and reliability.
• Work with minimal supervision to solve practical problems.
• Hazmat training is a plus.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Driver to join our Grand Rapids Team! This route includes Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas.

Essential Functions

• Ability to load, secure and unload product safely, and maintain a route schedule
• Receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service
• Demonstrated communication and customer service skills
• Accurate handling of CODs, delivery manifests
• Vehicle inspection, both pre- and post-delivery, compliance with all federal and state regulations
• Excellent attendance and reliability are critical
• With minimal supervision, demonstrated ability to solve practical problems
• Hazmat training a plus

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $22.00.

The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
