Theuniversityunion in Garfield Heights, OH is seeking a full-time delivery driver to transport products to customers in a safe and compliant manner. The role involves loading and unloading, verifying paperwork, and maintaining vehicle condition while delivering on schedule.
Candidates should have 21+ years of age, a valid driver’s license, and 1–3 years’ experience. The job requires strong navigation skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Adhere to all safety and loss prevention protocols per Standard Farms’ policies and procedures.
Anticipate vehicle maintenance issues such as fuel level, scheduled maintenance, and tire wear.
Assure the collection and remittance of cash in accordance with Standard Farms’ policies and procedures as required.
Assist with the picking and packaging of products for orders prior to delivery.
Communicate with customers to determine pickup and delivery needs.
Contact supervisor directly to resolve delivery paperwork issues or discrepancies; take corrective actions as necessary.
Engage customers and clients with friendly, courteous, and effective communication.
Follow all applicable traffic laws and OH cannabis industry regulatory requirements.
Handle paperwork, such as receipts or delivery confirmation notices.
Keep vehicle and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
Learn, understand, and execute customer location-specific protocols regarding safety and security.
Load and unload cargo safely while protecting product integrity.
Maintain fluency in electronic and paper documents associated with product transport including manifests, packing slips, and invoices.
Promptly deliver all customer feedback to the management team including all project rejections.
Recognize and report potential efficiency issues in the supply chain/fulfillment process.
Report any incidents or delays encountered on the road to a supervisor as soon as possible.
Report serious mechanical problems to the supervisor or facility maintenance department.
Review electronic and paper documents for accuracy and compliance to state and local regulations.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Thorough understanding of the area street grids.
Ability to effectively utilize navigation software.
Ability to remain calm during stressful periods (no road rage incidents)
Self-directed; be able to perform work unsupervised.

Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Frequent and repetitive use of hands for tasks including pruning, transplanting, and equipment handling.
The employee must be able to sit or stand for long durations and perform essential physical functions, including kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting within confined or restricted spaces.
The employee must be able to work in hot, humid environments and tolerate exposure to workplace elements such as dust, allergens, and water.
