Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Public Service License in good standing.
• Must possess an F, S, V, or A endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport individuals in wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
• Follow established transportation schedules and routes.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles as needed.
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices properly during transport.
• Maintain transportation logs and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules and trip updates.
• Report accidents, incidents, and maintenance concerns promptly.
• Assist with routine vehicle cleaning and upkeep.
• Cross-train in dispatching and scheduling functions to support department operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, family members, and community partners.
