Job summary

Colonial Manor of Elma in Elma, IA, is seeking a Driver – PRN (On‑Call) to join our friendly, caring and supportive team. You will assist residents by transporting them to appointments and activities, and ensure a high standard of safety and comfort during every trip.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered Iowa driver's license, and Class D Chauffeur License or Class C Commercial License as required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered Iowa driver’s license or other motor vehicle operator license required by the state.
• Class D Chauffeur License or Class C Commercial License as required by state law.
• Prior driver experience in a skilled nursing facility setting is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments outside the facility.
• Transport residents to and from activities and functions.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and safe vehicle environment.
• Ensure residents are comfortable and safe during transport.

Responsibilities

As a Driver you will assist residents in receiving the specialized care they need. Your work will ensure residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by transporting them to and from appointments outside the facility, transporting residents to and from activities and functions, and ensuring a clean, sanitized and safe environment in the facility vehicle. Residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to keep them comfortable and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered driver’s license or other motor vehicle operator license required by the state of Iowa.
• Class D Chauffeur License or Class C Commercial License (as required by state law).
• Prior driver experience in a skilled nursing facility setting is preferable.
