Job summary

Nexus Family Recovery Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Full-Time Driver to transport clients to medical appointments, court appearances, CPS visits, and other approved activities.

You will maintain transportation logs, conduct vehicle safety checks, keep vans clean, and coordinate with staff to meet daily schedules and client needs, while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe transportation for clients to and from scheduled and/or unscheduled appointments off site, as needed.
  • Ensures van interiors are kept clean.
  • Ensures vans have gas for other drivers.
  • Performs vehicle safety checks and reports any maintenance needs or concerns to their direct supervisor and to the Director of Operations.
  • Maintains all vans by taking them to be cleaned regularly and/or serviced as needed.
  • Pick up medications or other items as needed.
  • Upon arriving on shift, coordinate with the RA2 and review the transportation log for the day.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Summary

Responsible for transporting clients to and from Nexus, including medical appointments, court appearances, CPS visits, and other approved activities, as needed. This position ensures timely pickups and drop offs. The driver maintains transportation logs, follows agency policies, and communicates effectively with staff regarding scheduling and client needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Documentation: accurately completes transportation logs, mileage reports, vehicle inspections, and incident documentation, as needed.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
  • A valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record

  • Follows HIPAA and CFR 42 guidelines for disclosing information.
  • Adheres to the agency's compliance plan, code of conduct, and the Nexus policies & procedures.
