Job summary

Mr Greens Produce in Dallas is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to operate a 16 or 24-foot box truck on established routes, delivering fresh produce to customers across Texas. You will provide friendly service, ensure on-time deliveries and perform daily truck inspections.

The role requires independence, a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with at least 1 year of box truck driving experience and ability to work weekdays and weekends, including overtime.

Qualifications

• Availability weekdays and weekends.
• At least 1 year of truck/box truck driving experience.
• Experience in route delivery logistics; produce delivery experience preferred.
• Able to do second runs (second route in the same day) and overtime.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record.
• 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
• Help ensure that clients receive their delivery as promised.
• Unloading products utilizing a pallet jack.
• Provide onsite customer service – review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs and that they are satisfied with our products and service.
• Effectively communicate with dispatchers, customer service and leadership team concerning delays, unsafe routes, accidents, and equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher.
• Properly and promptly report defective equipment.

Mr Greens is looking for highly motivated and dedicated candidates who will drive refrigerated trucks on established routes to deliver fresh produce into customer locations. Expected to provide friendly service and accurate, timely deliveries. Handle and resolve customer complaints and conduct daily truck inspection and maintenance.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent moving of product up to 50 pounds during the shift.
• Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck.
• Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to work in cold storage environment.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot weather, rain, and extreme cold temperatures).
