Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Columbia, MD is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles and ensure vehicle safety standards are met.

This role emphasizes compassionate service, reliability, and adherence to safety protocols. Benefits include healthcare plans, retirement options, PTO, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment
• Complete required driving logs and documentation
• Report resident changes in condition
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Assist with activities when not driving
