Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Clean Illinois MVR; proof of insurance.
• Strong customer service orientation and safety focus.
• Ability to communicate with staff and participants.
• Willingness to adhere to YMCA safety procedures.

The Driver is responsible for ensuring that program participants are transported safely by adhering to traffic regulations, supervising the participants and monitoring the condition of the vehicle.**Scope Of Responsibilities:*** Transport program participants to and from program activities to the site or center.* Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.* Inspect condition of vehicle including, but not limited to, tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, and safety equipment to ensure that the vehicle is in working order and report any conditions that need attention.* Work with other staff members during trips to monitor participants' conduct and maintain order.* Follow all YMCA safety procedures and guidelines.
