Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid Driver role based in Chicago, IL, with some work-from-home responsibilities related to scheduling, reporting, and communication. The Driver will operate company trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods, following all federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate delivery logs, and communicating with dispatch and customers regarding routes and delivery timelines. The role involves providing courteous customer service at pickup and delivery locations, reporting any mechanical issues or delays, and supporting basic vehicle cleanliness and maintenance. The Driver may also assist with route planning, documentation, and compliance-related tasks using digital tools from home as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess professional truck operation skills, including Truck Driving experience and safe handling of commercial Trucks.


• Hold a valid CDL Class A license and meet all applicable driving and safety standards.


• Demonstrate strong Communication and Customer Service skills for interacting with dispatchers, clients, and team members.


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass background and motor vehicle record checks.


• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and basic vehicle safety and maintenance practices.


• Ability to lift and move freight as required, and to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when needed.


• Comfort with using mobile and onboard technology for navigation, logging, and reporting.


• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in transportation or logistics is preferred.
