Job summary

AllClear Aerospace & Defense in Camarillo, CA seeks a driver to deliver and pick up parts across greater Los Angeles and Ventura counties. You will also act as warehouse inventory gatekeeper, ensuring stock accuracy and traceability.

Summary

The Driver will perform driving tasks to deliver and pick-up parts across the greater Los Angeles and Ventura County area. The Driver will also serve as the inventory gatekeeper when performing tasks in the warehouse, ensuring the integrity of inventory and accuracy of stock, while maintaining and ensuring traceability at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

• Drive non-commercial company vehicles (e.g., freightliner, van, truck).
• Following schedules and delivery instructions accurately.
• Support inventory integrity by accurately identifying, receiving, labeling and identifying finished goods, sub-assemblies and stock items utilizing various methods.
• Placing materials and supplies in stock, recording and scanning the traceability and location of inventory in ERP.
• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on pick tickets and ensure traceability of materials to work orders.
• Ensure the stockroom and warehouse remain secure and access is limited to authorized personnel.
• Responsible for the movement of materials between warehouses with complete, documented traceability.
• Process cycle counts, identify and help resolve inventory discrepancies in the ERP system.
• Organization of chemicals and adhesives, ensuring that the shelf life of all materials is monitored and proactively identify expired material for proper disposal.
• Package and prepare materials and required documentation for shipment.
• Safely operate hand saw and various hand and power tools to assemble crates.
• Adhere to policies and procedures around system usage to ensure its effectiveness and accuracy.
• Support warehouse layout including organization of material locations and labeling for overall efficiency.
• Loading and unloading materials and deliveries.
• Communicating with team members and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

In addition to the above, Drivers are to maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices. They must adhere to all laws applicable to driving vehicles on roads and highways.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift certification
• Must possess and maintain a valid California Class C Driver's License

Required Skills

• Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with and solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Other Abilities: Must have prior forklift experience. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Must have an understanding of packing, labeling and shipping standards. Must have experience using an ERP, with Quantum and Pentagon software. Must possess and maintain a good driving record.
