Job summary

Pavement Coffeehouse is seeking Delivery Drivers to support daily operations in the Boston area. Roles involve early starts and delivering bagels, food, and coffee to multiple stores with an emphasis on reliability and safety.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, handle repetitive motions, and navigate local routes while complying with traffic laws. This position requires punctuality and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Punctual, reliable, and able to work early morning shifts (5am–11am).

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver products from commissary to retail locations.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate order inaccuracies or issues to management right away.
• Abide by all traffic and parking laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Operate delivery van, dolly, and hand forklifts.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds & perform repetitive movements like squatting, bending & reaching.
• Assist with loading and unloading other deliveries as needed.

At Pavement Coffeehouse, Delivery Drivers are essential for our day to day operations. Being punctual and reliable are essential in this role as timely delivery of bagels, food, and coffee to our stores is crucial to our mission of positively energizing people. A driver starts their day early and requires the ability to lift heavy bins and complete many repetitive movements. Hours are 5am-11am.

You will

• Load, transport, and deliver products from commissary to retail locations.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate order inaccuracies or issues to management right away.
• Abide by all traffic and parking laws and maintain a safe driving record.

You have

Our Delivery Driver positions are dynamic roles. Below are some of the physical demands the job will make of you.

• Ability to stand and walk for longs period of time. You'll be on your feet for most of the day moving between stations & attending to the cafe
• Use of hands to reach, grip & perform specific movements. You'll use your hands to operate a register, handle knives to cut bagels, spread cream cheeses, and serve coffee & tea (among other responsibilities)
• Squat, bend, and reach for items below your waist and above your shoulders. For example, you will need to bend down into a fridge to grab product, or reach above to grab cups
• Ability to push/pull, lift/carry or move up to 50 pounds. For example, you'll handle gallons of milk, daily food orders, change trashes and carry dishes
• Climbing stairs and ladders. You may need to use a step ladder to reach something or navigate up & down stairs to access storage areas.
• Ability to listen and speak. You’re listening and speaking with customers to take and fill orders, and give them direction on the experiences we create
