Job summary

Provincial Senior Living in the United States seeks a Driver to provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to activities and events, ensuring safety and comfort during each trip.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, being 21+, a clean driving record, and prior customer service experience; training will be provided and opportunities for advancement are available within the Discovery Senior Living family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• A driving record acceptable under Federal DOT regulations.
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Knowledgeable of safety precautions and compliant with safety measures.
• Strong organization, time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from activities.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips.
• Safely operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles.
• Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewal process.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per-trip basis.
