Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and oversee daily drive-in operations in Austin, TX. You will train and coach team members, manage shifts, and ensure food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction are upheld.

Ideal candidates bring restaurant management experience, strong communication skills, and a collaborative leadership style. You will lead by example during opening/closing duties, inventory tasks, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year retail management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Train, monitor and coach Team Members, Carhops and other staff to ensure quality service.
• Direct and assign staff to meet operational standards across shifts.
• Open and close the restaurant as needed and maintain operational readiness.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost controls; complete weekly inventory.
• Address guest requests and resolve complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
