Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Engineering Intern in Boise, Idaho. You will gain real-world experience on water, wastewater, pipeline, pump station, and treatment facility projects under supervision.

Responsibilities include engineering analyses, hydraulic calculations, design drawings, and construction support. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while advancing your knowledge and contributing to sustainable water infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

  • Support project teams with data collection, hydraulic modeling, cost estimating, and construction-phase services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable water infrastructure solutions.

In the role of Drinking Water Engineering Intern, we\'ll count on you to:

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting water, wastewater, pipeline, pump station, and treatment facility projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water infrastructure projects
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager supporting water conveyance, storage, and treatment systems
  • Assist with engineering analyses, hydraulic calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and construction support activities for water and wastewater facilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on the development of sustainable and resilient water infrastructure solutions
  • Support project teams with data collection, hydraulic modeling, engineering analyses, cost estimating, specification preparation, and construction-phase services
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Office products, Autodesk, or similar CAD software\'s.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
