Job description

Brown and Caldwell (BC) is seeking a Process Engineer to support our growing Drinking Water practice. This role focuses on solutions for drinking water treatment challenges. Remote work is permitted, though preference is for candidates within commuting distance to an office.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with clients and project teams nationwide to develop solutions that protect public health.
2. Manage and execute PFAS-related water treatment projects, including process selection and preliminary design.
3. Develop into a technical leader on PFAS water treatment.
4. Coordinate testing of equipment and treatment technologies.
5. Work with BC R&D on applicable technologies.
6. Prepare technical reports on water quality and regulations.
7. Evaluate treatment approaches for emerging water quality constituents.
8. Present to clients and at professional meetings.
9. Support business development efforts.
10. Develop process design drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical deliverables.
11. Participate in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

1. BSc in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in drinking water industry, including PFAS treatment, modeling, and design.
3. Experience with full-scale or pilot plants, including GAC, ion exchange, and membrane systems.
4. Interest in project management or engineering leadership.
5. Strong communication skills for reports and presentations.

Preferred:

• PE License.

Salary Range:

Location B: $106,000 - $145,000, depending on skills and experience.
