Job summary

AES Drilling Fluids is seeking an Engineering Field Supervisor to join our West Texas team. The role oversees field activities, supervises drilling fluids engineers, and ensures safety and client satisfaction while delivering high-quality service.

Reports to the Regional Engineering Manager and leads training, project assignments, and performance reviews, with a focus on ISO-aligned processes and efficient operations on site in West Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Technical Degree in Engineering or Chemistry preferred.
• Successful completion of an AES-approved mud school.
• At least five years as a drilling fluids engineer.
• Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• ISO environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts rig visits daily to oversee drilling fluids engineers and service delivery.
• Assists and trains new hires and consultants on well-related drilling fluids and file issues.
• Investigates and resolves performance issues, including appropriate discipline or substitutions.
• Ensures compliance with AES policies, safety requirements, and standards.
• Identifies and resolves employee concerns and hiring needs.
• Interacts with customers to maintain communication and address inquiries.
• Supports continual improvement and ISO-related initiatives.
