Job summary

Stasis Drilling Solutions, headquartered in Houston, TX, seeks an Automation Engineer to design and integrate automated hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic systems for drilling and pressure-control applications. You will develop PLC software, HMI screens, and control architectures while collaborating with cross-functional teams to move projects from concept through commissioning and sustainment.

The role requires 5+ years in automation/controls; strong problem-solving, documentation, and field

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; relevant experience considered in lieu.
5+ years in application/controls/automation in oilfield or industrial environments.
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric system design and integration.
Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and apply automated hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems for drilling and pressure-control applications.
Develop control system architecture, PLC software, HMI screens, and integration interfaces.
Create system-level solutions with I/O architectures, instrumentation strategies, and hardware/software plans.
Provide on-site and remote technical support for PLC, HMI, and actuation issues.
Prepare documentation, drawings, manuals, and commissioning records; support project execution from definition to sustainment.
