Seaboard Drilling, LLC in Somersworth, New Hampshire is seeking a Drilling Apprentice for an immediate full-time opening at our NH office.

You will work as a Drilling Assistant to support the operation of a test boring drill rig, assisting the driller with drilling, sampling, rock coring, water-level measurements, and site instrumentation, with occasional overnight travel to New England sites.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with heavy equipment and operations.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist driller with drill rig operation and maintenance.
• Support soil boring, rock coring, and monitoring well installations.
• Conduct measurements of water levels and installation of instrumentation.
• Travel to short-term sites across New England with occasional overnight stays.
• Work outdoors in all seasons and conditions.

Seaboard Drilling, LLC is currently accepting applications for an immediate opening for a DRILLING APPRENTICE to be based in our Somersworth, New Hampshire office.

Job Requirements

This is a full-time position, primarily M-F schedule. Candidate will work as a Drilling Assistant to support the operation of a test boring drill rig with an experienced Driller. Tasks include safely assisting the driller with all aspects of drill rig operation and maintenance including soil boring and sampling, rock coring, measuring water levels, installing monitoring wells, installation of instrumentation, carrying and handling tooling, and operation and basic maintenance of heavy equipment including drill rigs, medium duty trucks, trailers and ATV.

Full time position, primarily M-F work.

Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations.

Must be able to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds and work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions.

Position will require regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with overnight stays on some weekdays.

Occasional night work.

Education Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
