Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a dedicated underground operations worker in the United States to safely operate roof bolting and drilling equipment, install support systems, and perform daily inspections. You will collaborate with the production team to ensure safe and efficient material extraction while adhering to safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.

Eligible candidates will demonstrate the ability to read mine plans and procedures, maintain equipment, and uphold a strong safety

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate roof bolting and drilling equipment to support safe underground quarry operations
• Install roof support systems according to mine plans, safety standards, and procedures
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
• Work closely with the production team to support safe, efficient material extraction
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational guidelines at all times

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level

What We Offer

• $28.76 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour underground rate
• $2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid out in two installments (6 months and 1 year)
