Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Greenville, SC is seeking a Field Technician to support penetrometer testing operations in the field and in the lab. You will locate borings, record drilling data, and help maintain equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and up to 3 years of related field experience; willingness to travel and work non-standard schedules may be required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard penetrometer testing operations including borings and geoprobes.
• Locating borings in the field.
• Recording required drilling data.
• Reporting project-specific issues to the project manager and/or supervisor.
• Performing drill rig and support truck maintenance; report repair and maintenance issues to drilling supervisor.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment for all crew personnel.
• Safely and accurately loading drill rig and support vehicle with supplies; complete time sheets and field paperwork.
• Care for and clean assigned company vehicles and drilling equipment and other assigned equipment.
• Maintain professional behavior and quality standards.
• Willingness to work out of town and on non-standard work schedules when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
