Job summary

Engineering Consulting Service in Greenville, SC is seeking candidates to perform standard penetrometer testing and drilling operations. Applicants should preferably have a High School diploma or GED and can have 0 to 3 years of experience.

• Ability to perform drill rig and support truck maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard penetrometer testing operations including performing borings and geoprobes.
• Locate borings in the field.
• Record required drilling data.
• Report project‑specific issues to the project manager and/or your supervisor.
• Perform drill rig and support truck maintenance and report issues to the drilling supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Load drill rig and support vehicle with supplies safely.
• Complete time sheets and field paperwork promptly.
• Care for and clean assigned company vehicles and drilling equipment.
• Maintain professional behavior and quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Performing standard penetrometer testing operations including performing borings and geoprobes
• Locating borings in the field
• Recording required drilling data
• Reporting project‑specific issues to the project manager and/or your supervisor
• Performing drill rig and support truck maintenance; reporting repair and maintenance issues to the drilling supervisor
• Following company safety procedures and guidelines for maintaining a safe work environment for all crew personnel
• Safely and accurately loading drill rig and support vehicle each day with supplies
• Promptly and accurately completing time sheets and field paperwork
• Care for and clean assigned company vehicles and drilling equipment and other assigned equipment
• Maintaining professional behavior and quality standards
• Willingness to work out of town and on non‑standard work schedules when required
• Other duties as assigned
