Job summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Driller Assistant for our New Orleans office. The role supports drilling operations, equipment setup, and sample collection in geotechnical exploration projects.

Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and physically demanding, with potential for overtime and out-of-town travel. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, and offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time

Qualifications

Minimum of one-year experience preferred.
Mechanical skills preferred.
Class A or Class B CDL license a plus.
Must have current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate or be able to obtain one prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Assist driller with solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling and Shelby tube sampling.
Move, set up and operate drilling rigs and related equipment.
Load and unload trucks; maintain and repair drill rigs and equipment.
Assist with well development, pumping tests and sample collection.
Carry out site duties at multiple job sites and outdoors in all weather.
Expedite field supplies and ensure proper labeling of samples.
Ensure safety practices and quality control in field operations.
