Job summary

National EWP is seeking a Driller Assistant to support the Driller and Toolpusher in a range of labor-intensive drilling tasks. The role involves assisting with drill site moves, sample collection, tool handling, mud mixing, and equipment servicing on demanding schedules, including night shifts.

The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and the ability to work in challenging environments with a 14/7 or 20/10 rotation.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts plus travel, in extreme weather.
• Schedule may be 14 days on/7 days off or 20 days on/10 days off depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Assist in safe and efficient drill site moves and setup.
• Collect samples, handle drill rods and drilling tools, mix mud, and other labor-intensive tasks.
• Operate equipment including light and heavy-duty vehicles, water trucks, cranes, forklifts, track-mounted utility vehicles, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following all housekeeping requirements.
• Perform and document daily and/or periodic pre-shift site and equipment inspections.
• Maintain clear communication with the Driller and Toolpusher regarding needs.
• Maintain production standards and timeline requirements as directed by the Driller and/or Toolpusher.
• Report to work each shift on time and fit for duty.
• Exhibit a strong work ethic with the drive and desire to learn and perform tasks efficiently.
• Maintain respectful workplace relationships, treating others with dignity and respect.
