Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. is hiring a Driller Assistant in Elko, NV, to support drilling crews on multi-state projects. You’ll haul supplies, mix drilling fluids, and assist with rigging, sample collection, and equipment maintenance.

Position requires long shifts, travel to remote sites, and a willingness to work in all weather. Medical benefits, 401(k), PTO, and overtime opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Hauling supplies to and from the drill site.
• Manual material handling.
• Mixing drilling fluids.
• Making connections – adding/removing rods to/from drill string.
• Sample collection with proper labeling and order.
• Building chip trays.
• Rig up/down and move to new locations.
• Fueling site equipment and basic preventative maintenance.
• Complete daily site, mast and pre-shift inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide semi-skilled labor-intensive assistance for drilling crews.
• Learn and operate varied equipment as directed.
• Assist with on-site safety and training of new helpers.
• Maintain accurate inventory and site records.
• Support crew to ensure timely, safe operations.
