Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a drilling operator to support underground quarry production. You will safely operate drilling equipment, perform pre-operational inspections, and work to meet production targets in a safety-conscious environment.

You will communicate concerns to supervisors, collaborate with quarry personnel, and help maintain equipment under challenging conditions such as heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate drilling or heavy equipment in an industrial, mining, quarrying, construction, or similar environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and compliance with operating procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude with the capability to inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment.
• Ability to read and follow mine plans, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Dependable work ethic with the ability to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operate drilling equipment to support underground quarry production activities.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

What We Offer

$28.76 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour underground differential.
