Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. in Randolph, Missouri seeks a Drill-Tender/Utility Hand to support drills in an underground mine. The role involves operating a drill tender truck to deliver drill steels, bits, and water and laying out faces for drillers using surveying equipment.

This full-time position requires 40+ hours weekly, a high school diploma, and a valid US driver’s license. Candidates with heavy equipment experience or military background, MS Office skills, and knowledge of MSHA

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of related experience.
Valid US driver's license.
Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
MS Office and other computer skills preferred.
Knowledge of MSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Guardian Angel culture.
Train and provide back-up for Plant Operator I.
Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
Monitor processes, materials and surroundings.
Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes.
Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
Operate haul trucks to assist with plant operations.
Work in a team environment.
Clean work areas.
Wear personal protective equipment correctly.
Notify supervisors of needed repairs.
Manage multiple tasks and prioritize for production needs.
