Job summary

BAUER Foundation Corp. is seeking Drill Rig Operators to support projects across the United States, including Florida and beyond. You will operate BAUER drilling rigs, assist with rig setup, and report maintenance and field changes to the superintendent.

The role requires pre/post-shift inspections, strict safety compliance, and collaboration with customers to maintain productive crew environments. The position emphasizes travel, high school graduation, and 2–5 years of related drilling

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience operating BAUER drilling and piling rigs.
• Willingness to travel.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Operating BAUER drill rigs as required for site.
• Assisting in setting up the rig and equipment to site conditions.
• Reporting rig and equipment maintenance and field changes to the superintendent and proposing solutions.
• Performing and documenting pre/post-shift inspections and reporting drilling activities.
• Complying with regulatory safety regulations and company policies.
• Participating in safety meetings and documenting equipment safety inspections.
• Maintaining positive relationships with customers and motivating the rig crew.

Job Overview:

Responsibilities of this Position:

• Operating BAUER drill rigs as required for site
• Assisting in setting up the rig and equipment to conditions found as well as in moving it
• Reporting rig and equipment maintenance and unanticipated field changes to the superintendent and suggest possible solutions
• Performing and documenting pre/post-shift inspections and report drilling activities
• Complying with regulatory safety regulations, code requirements and company policies
• Participating in safety meetings and documentation of equipment safety inspection audits
• Establishing and maintaining continuous positive and profitable working relationships with customers and a positive motivating work environment for the rig crew

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in operating BAUER drilling and piling rigs for Drilled Shaft and CFA projects.
• Willingness to travel

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather
• Must be able to stand and sit for 10-12 hours

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of related experience as Drill Rig Operator on construction sites preferred
• Ability to work independently and on a team
