Job summary

Bauer Foundation Corp. in Florida seeks a Project Manager with CFA and drilled shaft experience to lead complex civil engineering projects in the Tampa Bay area.

You will manage the project delivery team, control scope, schedule, budget, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors. The role requires eight+ years in special foundations, PMP/CAPM desirable, and strong leadership, communication, and risk mitigation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management required.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in CFA and drilled shaft foundations.
• Experience on at least one major project over $20M.
• PM certifications (PMP/PgMP/CAPM) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leads project delivery team to meet scope, schedule, budget.
• Conducts risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Manages communications with clients, consultants, and vendors.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position: Full time

Schedule: up to 6 days per week, 12 hours per day

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex civil engineering projects. The primary role of the Project Manager is to lead the project delivery team in achieving project goals and objectives through managing resources, identify and mitigating risk, and facilitating project solutions including the project scope, schedule, and budget from pre-construction through construction and project close-out.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversees a team of Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops project scope, goals, and deliverables to ensure project completion.
• Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
• Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
• Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
• Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
• Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
• Acts as a liaison between company, clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Manages and supervises consultants, contractors, and other subject matter experts in the preparation of planning and construction documents, and in the implementation of the project.
• Communicates effectively with senior management, elected officials and their staff, stakeholders, and other public agencies.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

MUST HAVE DRILLED SHAFT & CFA PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in special foundations/geotechnical foundations involving CFA & Drilled shafts experience
• Experience at least 1 major project over $20M
• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
