Job summary

Hydro Resources Holding, Inc. is seeking a driller to safely set up and operate drilling rigs for irrigation, commercial, industrial, and municipal wells. You will install well heads, casings, screens, and grout; document geological formations; and disinfect wells to ready them for use.

The role includes routine mechanical maintenance, reporting unsafe conditions, and supporting a safety-driven culture while supervising underground projects and pump division operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of casing types.
• Knowledge of drill string components.
• Knowledge of thread types.
• Knowledge of working derricks and drill floor.
• Ability to travel.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 3–5 years of experience operating drilling controls.

Responsibilities

• Set up rig and equipment safely and accurately.
• Operate drilling rig to drill commercial/industrial water wells.
• Install well heads, casings, screens, gravel packs, and grout.
• Document geological formations encountered.
• Disinfect water wells prior to use.
• Perform routine maintenance on rig and equipment.
• Maintain rigs.
• Report unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Supervise and train crews for underground projects.
• Operate and maintain pump division equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and accurate set up of rig and all equipment.
• Operate drilling rig and associated equipment to drill commercial and industrial water wells, install well heads, well screen, casing, gravel pack and cement grout, and other well fixtures.
• Document geological formations encountered.
• Clean and disinfect water wells in preparation for use.
• Perform routine mechanical maintenance work on drilling rig and equipment.
• Maintenance of rigs.
• Must report any and all unsafe conditions.
• Expected to engage in the safety process and report to Supervisor any time a situation is deemed unsafe.
• To support / encourage others to help develop a culture of continuous improvement.
• Supervision and training of crews for underground projects.
• Operation and maintenance of all pump division equipment, including video van, sonar jet operations, testing and testing equipment and cranes.
