Job summary

VMC Group is seeking a Drill Press Operator to join our Houston area machine shop. The role requires hands-on experience with drill presses, cutting, drilling/tapping, saw operations, and general machine operation in a typical shop environment.

Applicants should be able to perform semi-heavy manual labor, be willing to cross-train on different machines, and work additional hours as needed to meet responsibilities. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform semi-heavy manual labor.
• Experience with drill press, cutting, drilling/tapping, and saw operations.
• Willingness to cross-train on different machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate drill press and related machinery in a typical machine shop.
• Handle cutting, drilling/tapping, saw operations, and other assigned tasks.
• Operate shear press and bend equipment when required.
• Maintain shop safety and orderly work area.
