Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Drill Operator for Greensboro, North Carolina. The role involves operating a track mounted Kelly Bar rotary drill with water flush, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting in loading and stemming of blast patterns while adhering to MSHA safety standards.

Ideal candidates are safety-conscious and dependable, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with hydraulic/electrical systems and Kelly Bar drills is preferred; willingness to train

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience to perform responsibilities.
• Experience in hydraulic and electrical systems (preferred).
• Experience with Kelly Bar driven drills (preferred).
• Experience with electric powered drill (preferred).
• ATF Clearance (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Operate drill and related equipment within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform daily/monthly inspections, greasing, drill logs, and replace bits as needed.
• Maintain drill and pump systems; troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic issues.
• Assist in loading and stemming blast patterns.
• Participate in safety inspections and MSHA safety rules compliance.
• Operate auxiliary equipment safely when needed.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
