Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting in the United States is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator specializing in vertical and/or horizontal drilling to join our growing, employee-owned team. You will be deploying top hammer drilling equipment and performing work with a strong safety focus.

Qualified applicants have 5+ years of hydraulic equipment operation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experience.
Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
One year experience in the construction industry.
Experience as a construction laborer.
Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation.
Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems, desired.
Must be able to pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

Safely perform all drilling activity per the job program to achieve production goals.
Follow Safety Policies and perform daily maintenance on equipment.
Understand drill patterns and execute layouts as directed by the Blaster Foreman.
Maximize usage of drill supplies and manage accessories inventory.
Communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blasting Supervisor.
Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and signed timecards.
Work unsupervised while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Participate in foreman, safety and job-specific meetings.
Complete Driller I and Driller II training certifications.
Other duties as assigned.
