Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Drill Operator to operate and maintain drilling equipment at job sites. You will read blueprints, prepare sites, monitor operations, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience with directional drilling, a valid license (CDL preferred), and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. The role involves teamwork and potential overtime, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience as a Drill Operator, preferably with directional drilling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of drilling techniques, materials, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a variety of drilling equipment, including directional drills, auger drills, and rock drills.
  • Prepare drill sites, set up equipment, align properly, and perform pre-operational checks.
  • Monitor drilling operations, depth, pressure, and rotation; adjust as necessary.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and utility maps to plan drill paths and avoid infrastructure.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment.
  • Document drilling progress, daily logs, and inspections.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies; work with the team and stakeholders.
  • Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
