Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is hiring a Telecom Drill Bores Operator in Morgantown, WV. You will operate drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables, determine bore paths, and verify utilities while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires a CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain, a valid US work authorization, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Competitive weekly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for the company.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willing to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, capabilities, limitations, and drill setup/design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site setup, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older

• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
